Lina Langendorf – compositions, saxophone
Daniel Bingert – keys, guitar
Martin Hederos – Keys, viola
Ole Morten Vågan – bass
Andreas Wertlin - drums
Langendorf United, the quintet led by Swedish saxophonist and composer Lina Langendorf, blends spiritual jazz, Afrobeat, psychedelic sounds, and Ethio-jazz into a rhythmically complex musical style. The five musicians, known from groups such as Fire!, Tonbruket, and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, focus on collective interplay, improvisation, and driving grooves. Humor, a joy of playing, and curiosity shape their sound, which draws as much from African rhythms as it does from influences in soul and rock.
